Contest: Pet, date dogs in A Summer with the Shiba Inu

Yes, I said date them

In today’s contest, you’re going to date dogs in A Summer with the Shiba Inu for Steam.

I love my job. I get to do contests like every day where I get to give you guys cool, interesting, popular, and sometimes batshit crazy stuff. I’ll let you decide into which category to place this one. I know where I’m putting it.

I’d like you to play A Summer with the Shiba Inu. I’d really like for you to play it. Please enter our contest, and win a Steam copy so you can play it. I’ll be a good boy, I swear.

So we’ve covered this game before. The rub is that you’re Syd, a shiba inu returning to your hometown. The world is run by dogs. You’re lonely. You just want to make friends and find love. But it’s a dog eat dog world out there. This visual novel sees the ups and downs of a dog’s life as she must deal with the past she left behind. Also did I mention it’s a dog visual novel/dating sim? Chew on that for a little bit.

Here are some game features:

  • 3 main endings for Syd, with 10+ endings for other dogs depending on your actions!
  • Visual novel with story word count of ~70,000
  • Random facts about dogs in menus
  • 30 Steam achievements
  • Dog bark button in preference menu

This game has both random dog facts in menus, AND a dog bark button. Stop reading this. Just enter to win. Or better yet, buy it. You owe me one.

To enter to win, comment below telling us the toughest part about being a dog. Clearly, finding the time to sleep all day is a stressful thing for dogs. My dog, Nala, spends about 85% of her day sleeping. It just seems like she doesn’t have the time to do the things she loves. Like sleeping. I know sleeping 100% of her day is tough, but a girl can dream, right?

We have eight Steam keys to give away; winners will be drawn Friday, September 6. Please make sure to comment using a Dtoid account with your current email address on file. Don’t have an account? Sign up here to get doggone crazy with us.

A Summer with the Shiba Inu is available now for Steam. If you don’t win it, buy it.
