Combining the huggable head of Valve and the perpetual time sink that is Dota 2 in a single Steam Workshop submission — it seems so obvious now, bringing these two internet loves together. Shopkeeper Gabe Newell deserves a thumbs up and inclusion in the game.
“The past year has brought with it a huge leap in the development of e-sports and in particular Dota 2,” writes creator down_limit, who made the model “in gratitude to the development team.”
He hopes Valve will include the character in the current New Bloom Festival but even if it isn’t approved now or ever, I appreciate the work that’s gone into this. The cult of Gabe endures.
