Double Helix explains thier vision
There’s been a lot of skepticism circling around the return of Killer Instinct. It’s understandable, to be sure, that nervousness would be the natural response to a new developer taking point on a long-dormant series. It’s nice to see Double Helix pooling talent from developers that have worked on Street Fighter and Skullgirls series, as well as tournament scene alumni.
As a side note, I do have to wonder whether some of the skepticism for the new Killer Instinct is in any way redirected hate for Microsoft. I can understand why people would still feel betrayed by Microsoft, but it alone doesn’t warrant the hate for KI.
