Last year rocked too

Microsoft’s E3 press conference last year rocked. Don’t just take my word for it: our community thinks so too! This year they’re poised to really go hard again with Sony pulling out of the conference game this time, making Microsoft the only live stage event of the big three.

To help lend a hand to that hype, Xbox boss Phil Spencer just shared on Twitter that he finished up the final E3 rehearsal, and confirmed that there are 14 Xbox Game Studios games to show. Spencer says that this year will feature “more first-party games than [they’ve] ever had in the show.”

So let’s take a look at what could be happening. Halo Infiniteis pretty much a given, right? Same with Gears 5? So that’s likely two right there. Also remember, Microsoft owns Compulsion Games (We Happy Few), Ninja Theory (Hellblade), Mojang (Minecraft), Rare, Obsidian, inXile, Undead Labs, and many more first-party studios like Playground and Turn 10: the Forza factories.

There’s also the qualifier “14 Xbox Game Studios” games, so we could get some blowout third-party reveals like Devil May Cry 5, which happened last year on Microsoft’s stage. We’ll find out for ourselves when Microsoft kicks off E3 at 1PM PT (4PM ET) on Sunday, June 9.
