Within a few hours of the issue being reported, Blizzard tentatively confirmed the problem had been resolved, and replied to a fan on Twitter stating “the issue should be resolved at this time” but offered a further fix if the problem persists.

Threads popping up on the Blizzard and Reddit forums show hundreds of players all struggling with the same problem. It’s not a new issue, either — it cropped up during the PS4 beta phase, too.
“Logins on our side all appear to be processing smoothly now and we’re seeing players back in Overwatch on PS4 and playing games again,” stated a Blizzard rep on the official forum. “If you experience login issues on Playstation or console, pleasetry these troubleshooting steps! Players also find that performing a hard restart may resolve connection issues.”
