Resident Evil 7 will return to horror roots, have a P.T. alumnus involved, and be announced at E3

According to a Tokyo-based analyst

It’s not a secret that Capcom is probably working on Resident Evil 7. Sure, Resident Evil 6failed to meet its expectations, but it’s still one of the developer’s main cash cows. A Tokyo-based analyst named Dr. Serkan Toto says we will be seeing the next game this E3.

I wasn’t particularly happy with Resident Evil 6, though there’s a lot of fun to be had in Mercenaries mode once you learn all the cool tricks you can do. I’ve been wanting a soft reboot for the series for a while, and if they can bring back some scares, I’m all in. We’ll know next month!
